nice work

i like the melody (which is pretty much the whole song). the synth-to-guitar transitions doesnt work well and the backround sound at the beggining is way too quiet. but it's still a great song, keep up the good work.

check out my music too!

kliker responds:

thx that you appreciate my work. I'm still learning so my work is not that good as paragonx9. Maybe sometime.... and thx for the review.

nice, nice

it sounds very cool indeed. you should make it less repetitive, you could probably put some chords in the backround, or but the current melody behind another melody.

wtf?

i'm still sitting here waiting for the melody to start. come on john, you can do better

Wow

Incredible, as usual.

My point of view on the story is a bit diffrent, maybe like Zen's but the soldier wants to make it back to his loved one? i dont know. It's amazing, the drum/bass hidden behind it add a powerful-like effect to it, if the strings don't do that one their own. My music is terrible, but im working on getting better now. I'm sure your first classical was much better than my first techno. Thanks for all the reviews, your tips are well appreciated. i dont know if i will go deep into classical, but mawkeetus is working on his second. hopefully i may someday become half as well known as you ;).

MaestroRage responds:

You'd be surprised how horrible my first anything was ;). Also my first piece was techno! That was before I learned VST's. Fruity Studio's is geared towards electronic music and their orchestral samples are quite horrible, so it was a pain trying to work with that. I wish the best of luck to both you and mawkeetus, if you guys have any questions or just want an ear to listen to a piece, i'm always here.

Thanks for the review and story, both were appreciated.

nice

like the guy before me, it really paints the picture of the cave. You use fruity loops right? the demo version? LOL me too, it's pretty annoying, having to leave your comp on all night when you're working on a song. Anyway, the melodies arent too original but they flow together in perfect harmony, nice work!

check out my stuff,

XDragonslayerX responds:

Lol yep..it's quite annoying. Anyway thanks! I'll try to make more originallity when I get the full thing.

yea

Welcome to NewGrounds. What do you use, Fruity Loops? I like the backround beat, and the guitar goes nicely with the synth. You should try to make it less repetitive, like, it's really diverse but each diffrent melody is just the same thing over and over again. Thats all i have to say. Check out my music too,

-ChiRoN

ps- you submitted the same thing twice xD

SirShorty responds:

Yeah, just ralized that my self X0 .
And yeah, I use a program where you have a bunch of loops and you string them together. Will work on the diversity next time. Thanks!

not bad

Not bad at all. The intro should sound more seperated and sticcato, it sounds like 1 note. The melody is great though. You should put more into the song though, maybe some chords or kick.

eGrind responds:

Thank you, I know the intro sounds lame, but that's the way I got it working. Thank you for the tips, I'll keep them in mind.

Thank you for the review.

Great song

Its a great melody, but i think you should have made the guitar a bit diffrent sounding, it sticks out. And that one high-pitched triangle was kind of off key, but it goes well with the song! I like it.

Thx for the review btw

Stealth-Emergence responds:

Hey man thanks for your review, yeah that guitar does need to sound different, it's a sound issue I'm having! lol and it was my first track which I will re-do one day! (I Swear)

Triangle? no triangles were used in this, but I think I can pick the little beastie you're referring to

Thanks for your review man! glad you liked it!

Peace Out!

Stealth

this is awsome!!^^

i dont know how you manage to make these songs!! i liked the way you had the woodwind to transition to different parts of the song. and the harp and the occasional triangle in the middle!! wow ^^. write back and tell me what program you use or if you record it(which would be amzing btw) id really like to know. im starting to get in the classical mood so listen to my song "syimphoni" when you get the time and give any advice you have. i'd really appreciate the help

wonderful song

and nice jod on the "max destructor" it was as good as they get!!

this ok...not terible.

im not one to be talking. its better than mine in the sense of the sound and instrument quality. but i like the drum line! what i dont like bout this is the chage between the sticato and the crash too choppy. kinda killed that great fast paced mood you set for the song. that would be the only part that i would have changed.
